Keeping them SAFE

Ferrets are extremely intelligent. Think along the lines of a two – four year old human child. Ok, with that thought in mind, add an extra hundred pounds of innate curiosity along with the ability to climb things no human child would attempt and you have a ferret.

Keeping your fuzzbutts safe will include ferret proofing all areas they may be allowed to access, making sure that all bedding/sleep accessories are unlikely to catch their sharp little claws, and even for free-roam ferrets – a safe, cozy cage is suggested for those times when you will be out of the home long enough that mayhem may occur.

Even if he’s asleep, don’t hesitate to gently scratch and pet your fuzzbutt. Our ferrets love to wake up to us petting them.
